Scaffolding exists so other people can work off the ground safely. That only means something if our own house is in order first, so ours is not a folder in the ute that nobody opens.
Before the truck is loaded we work through the ground, the access, the power lines and anything else on site that could bite.
Nobody else steps on the scaffold until we have been over it, and you are told what has been left, what it is rated for and what not to touch.
If something changes on site or a near miss happens, it gets logged and dealt with rather than passed along by word of mouth.
Because it is all kept digitally, if a main contractor wants our paperwork before we come on site, we can send it through.
We run our health and safety through HazardCo, so site safety plans, hazard boards, toolbox meetings and incident reports all live in one place instead of being scribbled on the back of a docket.
